Assessment of objections
11
The remaining four unresolved objections contain the following points in brief :
(a) Objection No. 2
The villagers of San Wai suggested that Government should consider widening the existing road ΟΠ both sides to dual-2 or dual-3 lane trunk road and reduce, as far as possible, the land resumption necessary for the Fairview Park interchange which would affect their village. Alternatively, the villagers suggested that Government should re-align the road to run from the Yau Tam Mei tipping area
area to Fung Kat Heung via Wang Ping Shan such that their village would not be affected by the works.
(b)
Objection No. 4
The objector considered that Government's proposed resumption of 670.8 square metres, representing 83% of the area of his land, will render the remaining land hardly usable for farming purposes and therefore asked Government for total resumption of his land.
