Mr. NG Chun-lam
The objector insisted that the remaining area of his Lot (no. 3751C in DD104) should be 435 sq.ft. instead of 218 sq.ft., which appeared on the records of RG, LOYL. As regards Lot No. 3481 in DD104 owned by his grandson, he considered that Government should resume the whole lot instead of half of it.
It is considered the dispute regarding Lot no. 3751C is not an objection as it only involves clarifications from facts and records. The request concerning total resumption is in fact covered under Section 23 of the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance.
DLO/YL has advised that the records in Registrar General, Lands Office, Yuen Long for Lot no. 3751C show an area of 218 sq.ft., instead of 435 sq.ft. claimed by the objector. DLO/YL has also advised that it is Government's current policy that resumption of land should be the minimum necessary to implement the project.
The objector has been informed of the records in the RG's office, but he insists that those records are wrong. Although the objector has been explained that he could apply under Section 23 of the Roads
Ordinance,
