Messrs. Gallant Y.T. Ho & Co. on behalf of Mr. HUI Kam-hing
Acting on behalf of his client, the objector stated that the proposed resumption would bring his client's business as a building materials supplier to an end. The objector proposed that either Government should resume the agricultural land situated on the other side of Castle Peak Road or Government should reduce the area of resumption to avoid the lot where the house was situated.
The house and land are affected.
The objector's suggestion of resumption of land on the other side of Castle Peak Road would equally affect other persons and will give cause for other parties to object. The alternative suggestion of reducing the land taken cannot be met as an interchange has to be provided at Fairview Park.
Yes. There has been a series of meetings arranged with Mr. HUI. After explaining that modifications are not possible, Mr. HUI verbally requested for the possibility of retaining his building license to be relocated elsewhere. The District Lands Office staff have rejected the request as it is not in line with current policy.
