440 gms Heroin seized by SDS/SMP
Case Reference: SMP/CCR/1008/85
On 7 June 1985, SDS/SMP seized 440 grams of No. 3 heroin and arrested a Chinese male and Chinese female when they searched an address at 5th Floor, Block 39, Sau Mau Ping Estate.
Result: One defendant was sentenced to five years imprisonment while another was acquitted.
1.5 kgs Heroin seized by UB/PC
MK/RB/2275/85
On 14 June 1985, two UB/PCs seized 1.35 kg of No. 3 heroin when they stopped and searched a 22 year old Chinese male outside 722 Nathan Road, Mong Kok. He was subsequently arrested.
Result:
Defendant absconded whilst on bail.
93 gms Heroin seized by Customs
On 16 June 1985, Customs officers seized 93 grams of No. 3 heroin when they searched a 52 year old Chinese male at Macau Ferry Picr.
Result: He was sentenced to six years imprisonment as he had 37 previous convictions, 18 of which
were drug related.
700 gms Heroin seized by SDS/MK
Case Reference: MK/RB/2300-1/85
On 17 June 1985, SDS/MK officers seized 700 grams of No. 3 heroin when they searched Block B, 29 Hon Luk Street. Three Chinese male were subsequently arrested.
Result:
One of the defendants was sentenced to Drug Addiction Treatment Centre while the other two were sentenced to fifteen and a half and fourteen years imprisonment respectively.
400 gms Heroin seized by UB/Y
Case Reference: Y/CCR/3660/85
On 2 July 1985, officers of UB/Y seized 400 gms of No. 3 heroin when they arrested a Chinese male who had been acting suspiciously.
Result:
The 24 year old defendant was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
200 gms of Heroin seized by SDS/TW
On 3 July 1985, Officers of SDS/TW traced a target to his home at 1st Floor, 188 Hoi Pui Street, Tsuen Wan. A search was conducted and 200 gms of No. 3 heroin were seized.
Result: The 27 year old defendant was sentenced to three years imprisonment.
1.5 kgs Heroin seized by SDS/ST
On 6 July 1985, officers of SDS/ST arrested two Chinese youths near the Lam Tsuen Government School in Tai Po and seized 1,5 kgs of No. 3 heroin.
1 kg No. 3 Heroin and 450 grams Raw Opium seized by Customs Case Reference: No. CIB 1/170/85
On 9 July 1985, officers of the Customs Investigation Bureau searched a drugs packing and distribution Centre in Sham Shui Po, resulting in the seizure of 1 kg No. 3 heroin and 450 grams of raw opium. One Chinese male and one Chinese female were arrested.
Result: The female was sentenced to five years imprisonment while the male was acquitted.
178 gms Heroin seized by SDS/SMP
Case Reference: Y/CCR/3864/85
On 11 July 1985, officers of SDS/SMP seized 200 grams of No. 3 heroin when they raided an address at 6th Floor, 575 Nathan Road. One Chinese male and one Chinese female were arrested.
Result: One defendant was sentenced to five years imprisonment while the female was acquitted.
1.4 kgs Heroin seized by SDS/TW
On 12 July 1985, officers of SDS/TW seized 1.4 kgs of No. 3 heroin. Officers first intercepted a Chinese male at San Tung Uk Village and he was taken back to his home where the drugs were found. Result: Pending.
