1 kg Heroin seized by NB
Case Reference: TST/CCR/344/84
On 21 January 1985, Narcotics Bureau officers seized 1 kg of No. 3 heroin when they stopped and searched a Chinese male at the junction of Peking Road and Lock Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. A subsequent search of his flat revealed a quantity of packaging equipment.
Result: Defendant absconded whilst on bail.
1.6 kgs of No. 3 Heroin seized by NB
Case Reference: TST/CCR/527/85
On 2 February 1985, as part of an ongoing operation, Narcotics Bureau officers scized 1.6 kgs of No. 3 heroin when they arrested three Chinese males at the junction of Austin Avenue and Chatham Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. The operation commenced in November 1984 and a total of six Chinese males have been arrested and 6 kgs of No. 3 heroin seized.
Result: Defendants were sentenced to eight, nine and ten years imprisonment respectively.
400 gms Heroin seized by SDS
Case Reference: KWC/CCR/1452/85
On 4 February 1985, SDS/KWc officers stopped and searched a Chinese male at Kwai Hing MTR entrance and seized 10 gms of No. 3 heroin. A subsequent search of his home at Hong Tung House, Tung Tau Estate, Wong Tai Sin revealed a further 350 gms of No. 3 heroin. Result: The defendant was sentenced to two and a half years imprisonment.
780 gms No. 3 Heroin seized by SDS/SSpo
On 7 February 1985, SDS/SSPo raided 2nd Floor, 306 Ki Lung Street where they arrested a Chinese male and seized 280 gms of No. 3 heroin.
On 11th they scized 500 grams of No. 3 heroin when they arrested a Chinese male in Nam Cheung Street.
Result: The defendant arrested on 7 February was sentenced to four years imprisonment while the case
against the other is pending.
7 kgs Heroin seized by NB
Case Reference: TST/CCR 629/85
On 9 February 1985, acting on information, Narcotics Bureau officers seized 7 kgs of No. 3 heroin in a car park at Energy Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui East where a transaction was taking place. Four Chinese males and an Indian male were arrested at the scene.
Result:
Of the four males originally arrested three were charged. Two were sentenced to 10 and 12 years imprisonment respectively while the other was acquitted.
1.3 kgs of Heroin Seized during an SDS/K Operation
Case Reference: Y/CCR/879/85
On 10 February 1985, SDS/K_raided four addresses and seized a total of 1.352 kgs of No. 3 heroin. At 337–339 Nathan Road one Chinese male was arrested and 148 gms of No. 3 heroin was seized; at Block B, Tuk Tak Building, 47 Jordon Road, one Chinese male was arrested and 510 gms of No. 3 heroin seized; at an address in Ho Man Tin one Chinese male was arrested and 108 gms of No. 3 heroin seized; and at 5th Floor, 65 Ma Tau Wai Road one Chinese male was arrested and 586 gms of No. 3 heroin was seized.
Result: One defendant was sentenced to Drug Addiction Treatment Centre, two others were acquitted
while the fourth absconded whilst on Court bail.

Case Reference: SKM/CCR/243/85
On 11 February 1985, SDS/SSPo officers seized 500 gms of No. 3 heroin when they arrested a Chinese male in Nam Cheung Street.
Result: Defendant was sentenced to five years imprisonment.
