Programmes for Young People

(u) the needs of the young people must be catered

for under the Principles of Broadcasting

which, inter alia, states that it is the

duty of the licensees "to ensure that their

programming is balanced in content and

provides an adequate and comprehensive

service which is responsive to the diverse

needs and aspirations of the community."

(v)

a regular newscast especially

catering for young people's viewing

needs should be introduced by the

public broadcaster.
