(g) a children's television foundation

similar to that existing in Australia

should be established. The Broadcasting

Authority should be required to give

assistance to the establishment of

such a foundation.

(r) each licensee should be encouraged to

institute a children's programmes

advisory group within their

children's programming department.

Family Viewing Period

(s) there should be a family viewing period

between 4 8 p.m., Monday to Friday, and

that during these hours, nothing which is

unsuitable for children's viewing should be

broadcast, including unsuitable station

promotions, advertisements and announcements

of public interests. However, the Broadcasting

Authority may, on application, relax, where

appropriate, this programming requirement.

(t) Horse racing programmes should,

except on public holidays, not be

broadcast within this time slot.
