introduction of some kind of screening, which entails

ultimately the repatriation of those screened out. There

would need to be established a general international

agreement on the measures to be introduced, the ti

timing,

and the handling of those rejected by the screening

procedures. For ultimate repatriation to be effected

successfully there would need to be improvements in the

political and economic conditions in the three

Indochinese countries, and the establishment of

cooperation between these three countries, the places of

first asylum and the countries of resettlement.
