OBJECTIVES
To offer by example, a model of the educational experience the children may expect in their new host country.
To begin to develop communication
skills, e.g. use of English. To offer a basic course in
literacy and numeracy skills. To assist children in making the
cultural changes from East to West.
To offer an activity/leisure programme that will run in parallel with the educational objectives.
To encourage positive social interaction with peers and others.
To stimulate leisure interests,
activities.
To offer a model of education the
children may expect in new country.
To help the young people develop

particularly use of English.
To offer a course in literacy and

To assist in making cultural

To begin to prepare for life as
