I hope that this demonstrates that the allegations made by Mis Street on proselytising

on proselytising and freedom of worship in the closed camp s are inaccurate as indeed are mo s t of the others. I mu st stress that the Hong Kong

Kong Government does all it can to

make conditions in the camp s as huma e as possible, providing refugees with accommodation, food, medical attention, and educational, recreational and vocational training facilities. It has in fact accommodated over 100,000 refugees from Indo-China since 1975, which I hope you will agree represents a very considerable achievement in itself.
