Letter dated 26.3.86 explaining that:
(i) Changes in the Outline Zoning Plan should
result in an enhanced environment for Taikoo Shing residents. In fact, these changes have now been approved by District Lands Conference and large areas of District Open Space will replace those previously zoned as PSPS and G/IC.
(ii) Direct links between Taikoo Shing and the
tunnel cannot be provided without sacrifying engineering, traffic and safety standards. Existing access to the Cross Harbour Tunnel is unaffected, and adequate indirect access via Sai Wan Ho and the IEC is provided for. It is considered that there will be no adverse effect on property values.

In addition, there will be no significant change in the environment within the Estate although those tower blocks nearest to the interchange may experience a rise in noise levels and a reduction in air quality level. Although, the anticipated air. quality is acceptable, noise-reducing measures will be incorporated to meet the recommendations of the Environment Chapter of the Hong Kong Planning Standards and Guidelines. The outlook from the towers facing the interchange will be enhanced by the re-designation of large areas of the reclamation as open space and it is considered that there will bẹ no loss in property values,
