A service road around the south of the toll plaza provides a vehicular connection from the administration building and associated areas to both tubes of the tunnel and to Cha Kwo Ling Road. A short length of road will be constructed to provide access off Cha Kwo Ling Road into the area north of the toll plaza. Cha Kwo Ling Road will be diverted for the duration of the construction period and then realigned upon completion of the works. A service road will be constructed off Cha Kwo Ling Road to the ventilation building.

The main through carriageways continue in a north-easterly direction rising through the quarry in cutting and turning north-west to join Lei Yue Mun Road near the Lam Tin Estate, As part of the associated railway works, a transport interchange is to be constructed on the north side of Lei Yue Mun Road and two bridges will provide access to the Lam-Tin Mass Transit Railway station on the opposite side of Lei Yue Mun Road. Lei Yue Mun Road is realigned and upgraded to a dual carriageway terminating at the junction of Lei Yue Mun Road and Cha Kwo Ling Road. Access to the transport interchange is
provided off Lei Yue Mun Road.
