Objection by Swire Properties Limited and a number of its wholly owned subsidiary companies (hereunder collectively referred to as "Swire") to certain proposed works, namely the Quarry Bay landfall and associated roadworks for the proposed Eastern Harbour crossing, described in a Notice published under Section 8(2) of the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance Cap 370 ("the Ordinance")
We act for Swire Properties Limited of 4th Floor, Swire House, 9 Connaught Road C. Hong Kong, and a number of its wholly owned subsidiary companies, all of whom are owners and developers of the land at Quarry Bay Hong Kong known as Taikoo Shing Estate. A list of the companies for whom we act in this matter (hereunder collectively referred to as "Swire") is attached here to for your reference. On the instructions of our said clients we set out hereunder the basis of our clients' objection to the above mentioned proposed works.

Swire wishes to make representations concerning the above proposed works ("the Works"),

As you are aware, Swire is the developer of the mixed commercial and residential estate known as Taikoo Shing Estate ("Taikoo Shing"). The Works are proposed to be located on reclamation immediately adjacent to Taikoo Shing.
