Proposed Eastern Harbour Crossing

Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance

I refer to the GN dated 3.1.1986 regarding the proposed

roads works, and particularly refer to Drawing No. RO/12.

I would like to suggest that an additional slip road be provided near Ch 3900 at the west bound IEC Carriageway up to a point near Ch 700 at the proposed slip Road B for the convenience of all residents living in Taikooshing and Quarry Bay area who wish to cross the harbour via the new harbour tunnel.

If we miss this golden opportunity to construct the

slip road at the same time when the new harbour crossing is being constructed, it appears that it will be difficult, if not impossible, to do so later.

Please give serious consideration to the above proposal

if it is engineering feasible.
