Explanatory Memorandum

The purpose of this Bill is to amend the Road Traffic (Driving Licences) Regulations and the Road Traffic (Registration and Licensing of Vehicles) Regula- tions to give effect to the proposals in the 1986 Budget to increase the fees for certain driving and vehicle licences.

The Bill has no Public Service staffing implications. Additional revenue of approximately $40 million per annum is expected.
