Dear Sir,
I refer to the Gazette Notice which proposes to close temporarily
a section of Cleverly Strent between Des Voeux Road Central and Connaught
Road Central (P..P. Item No. 280TH). Should the works be carried out, our
shop will be seriously affected as it is situated within the works area
There will be clouds of dust, the rumble of machines and heaps of mud which
will force pedestrians to make a detour and bypass our shop. Hence our
business which deals in consumer goods will suffer a setback and may even
have to wound up. I request that our shop he compensated for the following
be
losses: -
-
(1) the decrease in our daily turnover; and
(2) the expenses involved in altering our metal gate and other renovat
work.
I should be grateful if you would look into our request.
