otherwise directed by the driver, insert in
the cash box the appropriate fare for his
journey together with the appropriate charge
for any goods lawfully carried at his request
on the bus.
(2) A passenger who has inserted in
a cash box an amount of money in excess of
the amount required under paragraph (1)
shall not be entitled to the return of the
amount of the excess.
(3) The requirement to insert the
appropriate fare in the cash box under
paragraph (1) shall not apply to any
passenger who already holds a ticket
in respect of the journey he intends to
take, or a pass to the extent of his
entitlement under that pass.".
Amendment of regulation 10.
5.
Regulation 10(2) of the principal regulations
is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (b) and substituting
the following
" (b) shall not permit any passenger to bring with
him any goods which may not lawfully, safely
and conveniently be carried on the bus;".
