Dear Sir,
Construction of a footbridge across Connaught Road Central and Pottinger Street affecting Wing On House
We act for Hang Seng Bank Limited, the owner of the
whole of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of Wing On House,
No. 71 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong.
In G.N. 3420 in Government Gazette No. 42/1985, notice
was given that the Secretary for Lands and Works proposed to
execute the road works shown on Plan No. HH5189 and HH5190
which said works include the construction of a footbridge
across Connaught Road Central and Pottinger Street.
It was
stated in the notice that any person who wished to object to
the carrying out of the said works should address his
objection in writing to you.
In the circumstances, we are instructed by our client
to raise an objection to the proposed execution of the road
works, namely, the construction of a footbridge as
aforesaid, which we hereby do, for the following reasons
1. The footbridge when constructed will create and
increase security problems to our client's premises
