Landings of shrimps were not included in the information supplied in

(e) of Attachment A. Please supply response to questions I(ii) (a)

this missing information.

(ii) In Fig.5.1, the fishing grounds have been schematically divided into

6 boxes. (Box "A" is the rest of the ocean.) This is shown diagrammati-

cally in Fig.5.1, which also shows the annual flows (for example F

the flow of water from box C to box B in the course of one year).

of ten or fewer boxes, in any way that appears sensible (not necessarily

as shown in Fig.5.1, which is just for illustration) and supply, if

available, the following information:

(a) For each box, except A: its surface area, average depth and

volume.

For each box, except A: the suspended sediment load (tonnes/m3) and sedimentation rate (tonnes/m2/yr.)

(c) For every pair of contiguous boxes: the annual water flows

etc.

It is appreciated that much of this information will not be available. However, please supply the information needed to obtain estimates, such as

the magnitude and direction of the ocean currents during the different

seasons, and any other information about the movement of the water

masses.

(iii) For Deep Bay and Tolo Harbour (including Tolo Channel), separately,

please supply the surface area, average depth and water volume; and your

best estimate of the suspended sediment load, sedimentation rate and the

water turnover rate for each bay (alternatively the flows, analogous to

the Fs above, into and out of each bay, from and to the open sea). Also,

if available, typical residual tidal velocities for each bay.
