3. 46 year old Doje Cering has been confirmed as Chairman of Tibet Autonomous Regional government. He is a Tibetan from Gansu and first came to Tibet proper in 1959. Once there he served his apprenticeship in local government, rising to Vice-Chairman of the regional government in 1983. A new Vice-Chairman of the government was appointed at the same time. He is Mao Rubai, who graduated from Nanjing University in 1961.
