Of the three

indices, the Hang Seng Consumer Price Index recorded the largest increase due to the larger weight it attaches to housing,

to housing, the price of which has increased relatively rapidly, and the smaller weight it

attaches to foodstuffs, the prices of which have been

relatively stable.

Index (A), the Consumer Price Index (B) and the Hang Seng Consumer Price Index was respectively 0.4%, 0.4% and 0.6% each

month. The corresponding monthly increases during the three months ending March 1986 were 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.4%.
