14) 1. Your Indus 54 of 24 June drew DTI's and Our attention to the
IDB's proposed promotion activities in Hong Kong. The purpose of this letter (I gather you may not have heard anything from DTI since) is to bring you up to date on subsequent developments.

2. Our discussions with DTI S Invest in Britain Bureau, following receipt of your Indus 54, have established that IBB feel that they can exert little, if any, influence over the activities of the IDB. IBB have therefore suggested that we take the issue up with the NIO, possibly at Ministerial level.
