MINISTERIAL VISITS COMMITTEE

1. The Sub-Committee of the Ministerial Visits Committee (MVC) met on 2 May to review departmental proposals for visits overseas by the Prime Minister, yourself and other Foreign Office Ministers during the period from September up to and including the Christmas recess. I attach the Sub-Committee's conclusions, which I endorse, and charts of visits.

The Secretary of State will note that, under the new arrangements recently agreed, the record of the meeting takes account of subsequent comments by Ministers on the Committee's conclusions.
