Clause 3 of the Bill provides that in addition to taking

the Oath of Fidelity a Member may take either the Oath of

Allegiance or the new Executive Council Oath.

No change is envisaged to that part of the

ordinance which provides that an affirmation is permitted

in lieu of the religious oath.
