HK Economic Journal: China's failure to let Legco and the HK Government play a role in the drafting of the Basic Law will lead the drafting of the Basic Law to a wrong track.
Tin Tin Daily News: BLCC members should not keep on repeating principles which have already been agreed by China. They should give concrete views on how such basic principles can materialise.

BLDC member Maria Tam: She believes that the powers of the SAR chief executive will not be as great as those of the Governor at present. The chief executive probably will not be the commander of the SAR
