documents should be made available to the BLCC before the BLDC reach any important decision.
Miss Maria Tam agrees that BLDC sub-groups should let the BLCC undertake most of the opinion gathering and opinion formation work. The five BLDC sub-groups should listen and should not initiate any idea so as not to circumvent the BLCC.
* (report) BLDC member Tam Yiu chung is worried
that labour benefits presently enjoy by HK will be reduced after 1997. The Basic Law
should state clearly
that HK will continue to
take part in 49
conventions of the
International Labour Organisation as at present. China only takes part in 19 ILO conventions.
