BLCC member Wilfred Wong: It will not be

necessary to set up a special body along the line of the Assessment Office to seek local views on the Basic Law.

Deputy secretary general of BLCC Siu Sim-bor: The BLCC has decided on two principles for people to express their views. First, submissions must be in written form as views expressed verbally can easily be distorted and become inaccurate. Second, the BLCC will not sift the views collected.
