Mr Augustine CHUI Kam, JP
Aged 52. Joined the civil service
in September 1952 and, since transferring to the
Administrative Service in 1964, has served in a
variety of fields of work. The posts he has
held include Deputy Director in the former
Home Affairs Department, Deputy Secretary in the
former New Territories Administration, and more
recently Deputy Director and then Director of
Urban Services.
He was promoted to his present
rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade A in
September 1985.
Mr Alexander Purves, JP
Aged 53. Joined Government in August 1955
and, following substantial service in the former
Commerce and Industry and Trade Industry and
Cumstoms Departments, he was appointed Deputy
Commissioner of Trade Industry and Customs in
July 1979. Following a subsequent transfer to
the Administrative Service in the rank of
