Dear Stephen,
UNHCR:
1.
ANTI-PIRACY PROGRAMME
Please refer to your teleletter of 22 November and our telegram number 433 of 26 November.
2. I enclose a copy of UNHCR's letter of 10 December accepting our nomination of Lieutenant-Commander Richard E Just as a member of the team of experts for the January 1986 Anti-Piracy Programme assessment mission.
3. You will see that UNHCR confirm that Commander Just's travelling arrangements from Hong Kong (via London) to Geneva are acceptable.
4.
UNHCR will now authorise their Hong Kong Office to buy Commander Just's air ticket. However, as this authority may take a week to ten days to reach Hong Kong, I would suggest that Commander Just makes his bookings now and then contacts UNHCR's Hong Kong Office after Christmas. for issue of the ticket.
5. The briefing will take place in Geneva on 9 January and is likely to start around 10am. Per diem expenses for the whole trip will be paid to the team members on arrival in Geneva for briefing.
6. I have confirmed with UNHCR that they will require the three team members to travel from Bangkok to Geneva for debriefing and presentation of their report on completion of the assignment in Thailand.
7. I shall let you have the promised further details from UNHCR as soon as I receive them.
