11. Sir John Fretwell said we should not be satisfied with last year's traffic levels. Traffic should grow. He was sure we were losing "spontaneous" traffic. M. Ross said there had been a shift in traffic from Boulogne to Calais because of Townsend Thoresen's purchase of Normandy Ferries, but otherwise little change. He would see what could be done, but time would be needed to examine modifications.

12. The discussions concluded with M. Ross inviting the PUS to visit him in Paris.
