We propose to approach both

governments to press them to take additional numbers of
refugees from Hong Kong. countries which already take large numbers of refugees from Hong Kong (the US, Canada and Australia), and those
which have only accepted them on an
irregular basis in
the past (mainly Commonwealth, EC and other European
countries).
