As a final note to the Monitoring exercise you may be interested to see the attached letter from the Governor of Hong Kong and the enclosed minute from Mr Justice Li about the destruction of the submissions made to the Assessment Office. The destruction took place in the Hong Kong Government Incinerating Plant on 28 May 1985 under Mr Justice Li's watchful eye, and those of a large contingent of the press and electronic media. The only submissions kept by the Government archives are those published within the Assessment Office report.
