Unfortunately, these types of transaction are not new.
In the past, some Bolivian Consults also in Asian capitals, have extended passports to individuals of different nationalities, including criminals. This was done in exchange of huge sums of money which varied from 5,000 to 50,000 US dollars, we were able to confirm this personally through an accusation presented by the Government of Taipei.
It is to be hoped that the corruption will be erradicated particularly so in the Immigration offices in order to avoid further shame to Bolivia.
