MEMORANDUM OF TRANSFER AND SURRENDER_dated the Fifth day of October one thousand Nine hundred and sixty-four

BY the Government of Hong Kong represented by the

Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong

Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same

(hereinafter referred to as "the Governor") of the one

part AND the Secretary of State for Defence a Corpora-

tion sole incorporated in the United Kingdom by virtue

of the Defence (Transfer of Functions) Act, 1964

(hereinafter referred to as "the Secretary of State")

of the other part

BE IT REMEMBERED that :

1)

The Government in consideration of the placing

to its credit in the Colonial Military Lands Account

of the sum of $334,560.00 has transferred and made

over to the Secretary of State ALL THAT Piece or

Parcel of land shown on the Plan annexed hereto

and thereon edged Red measuring in area approximately

4,182 square feet to the intent that the same shall

be occupied and used by the Secretary of State as

an extension to and upon the same terms and subject

to the same restrictions as War Department Lot

No. 17;

2) The Secretary of State in consideration of the

placing to his credit in the Colonial Military

Lands Account of the sum of $801,600.00 has surren-

dered and yielded up to the Governor ALL THAT
