HKU Student Union: The

old age of some members

may affect the continuity of the drafting

committee's work as the law-drafting process will take quite a few years to complete.

Meeting Point's opinion paper: Political groups and grassroots organisations are under-represented. These

groups should be represented on a wide

basis on the consultative commitee. the

consultative committee should be a territory- wide organisation recognised by China and should be allowed to send representatives to sit on the drafting committee. A joint organisation should be set up by various community groups to monitor the work of the consultative committee.
