NCNA HK branch deputy general secretary Niu Zhao: The proposed

membership of the Basic Law drafting committee has been basically finalised and it is unlikely that Sir S.Y. Chung will be included.

* NPC Standing Committee member Fei Yimin: HK members of the Basic Law drafting committee will soon fly to Peking to attend the first meeting to be held in the

beginning of July. The meeting will last one week. During the meeting, there will be an

introduction on Basic Law drafting and a discussion on the drafting work.

as deputy directors, shows that China is sincere in upholding HK's stability and prosperity.
