Legco Unofficial Allen Lee: The Umelco panel on the Basic Law will start canvassing public views once the drafting work begins.

Association Democracy of HK vice-chairman Pang Wah-keung: Half of the Basic Law drafting committee members should be HK people while the Basic Law consultative committee should comprise only HK people. The power to interpret the Basic law should rest with HK

and the final court of appeal should also be in

HK.
