NCNA's HK director Xu Jiatun: Membership of the Basic Law drafting committee, which will include a HK resident as its deputy director, will be announced in mid-June after the NPC Standing Committee meeting. The membership of the consultative committee will be announced at a later date.

HK Daily News: There will be contradictions between the Chinese Constitution and the Basic Law. To avoid contradictions, an annex should be added to the constitution, stating that the HK SAR Basic law is valid and recognised under the Chinese Constitution.
