* Legco member Ho Sai-chu: The BLDC and BLCC should first study HK's political system so that a model can be decided in one to two years. Legco should not discuss the Basic Law and Legco members should pass on their views through proper channels.

BLDC member Mao Junnian: BLDC members in Peking are studying different aspects of the Basic Law and have passed on reference material to their counterparts in

HK.

The Express: The good response to the BLCC nomination exercise shows that many people and community groups are concerned about HK's future.

Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po: As the BLCC has a limited number of seats, it can not accommodate

all the nominees. However, those who cannot become BLCC members can still express their views through other channels.

The Catholic Bishop of HK, the Most Rev John Baptist Wu: He is happy that one seat on the BLCC is allocated to the Catholic community, as this is sufficient to reflect the views of the Church to the panel.
