Source quoted by the Oriental Daily News: The constitution for the Basic Law consultative committee being drafted by the six-member working group will be very

general and all-embracing to allow for flexibility. There has been a suggestion that each consultative committee member should sign a resignation letter in advance so that if the views he expresses are found to be at variance with the views of the organisations he is supposed to represent, the organisations can forward the resignation letter to the committee.

Leaders of more than 10 kaifong associations hold a joint meeting to discuss Basic Law drafting. They feel that more grassroots

representatives should be included in the drafting committee.
