HK drafting member
Justice Li: Membership of the consultative
committee will be by invitation only. A draft constitution for the committee will be ready for discussion by the 25 drafting committee members in HK at their meeting on August 20.
* HK drafting member Liu Yiu-chu: The presence of NCNA deputy chief editor Yang Sheng at the first meeting of the six-member working group will not hamper the group's work. But the question involves a matter of principle as his participation has not been approved by the 25 drafting committee members in HK.
Drafting committee member Lau Wong-fat: The money to finance the work of the consultative committee should come from the future SAR Government's share of
land revenue.
