Taiwan's Legislative Yuan member Puk Shau-fu: It is a good thing to draft a Basic Law different from

that under the communist system. He will express his views as an individual.

(report) Sources: The Bar Association and the Law Society have written to the five vice-chairmen of the Basic Law drafting committee in HK,

suggesting that consul- tative committee members should be elected. A Christian group has also written to the HK members

of the drafting

committee, saying that members of the

consultative group should be nominated by community

groups.
