(Financial Daily report) Peking source: Drafting committee HK member Cha Chi-ming, in a paper submitted to the committee, suggests that an advisory council be set up here before 1997 to be responsible for proposing amendments to the Basic Law and for choosing a third of the members of the legislature. The
committee to be formed by eminent. HK people
appointed by Peking for
life will also be
responsible for selecting the Chief Executive of
the future SAR.
Bob Harilela said his
brother Hari Harilela is contacting the NCNA HK branch and members of the Basic Law drafting committee in a bid to
have expatriates included in the consultative
committee.
