Notice is hereby given that the preparatory meeting for the inception of the Basic Law Consultative Committee will be held in the Committee's premises on 6 December 1985 at 3 p.m. for the purpose of consultation and election of members to the Executive Committee. You are cordially invited to attend the meeting as

scheduled.

Enclosed herewith, please find a copy of the "Method of Selecting Members of the Executive Committee of the Basic Law Consultative Committee" and explanatory notes thereon, together with brief resumes of

all the Consultative Committee members. It is hoped that when nominating and electing members to the Executive Committee, you will take into consideration the participation of various sectors and classes, so as to come up with an Executive Committee with a balanced membership.

Please send the reply slip and nomination form for the BLCC Executive Committee to the Organizing Office of the Consultative Committee, to reach the office before noon of 4 December 1985.
