A director of Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.
Chairman of Intertanko.
Chairman of Wheelock Marden Group.
Has a joint venture with the Chinese in ship-building and shipping.
Although Sir
Y K Pao does not visit Peking frequently, he has
excellent connections and enjoys considerable
access to Chinese
Leaders. He visited Peking in May Last year when he called on
Chairman Deng Xiaoping. He was also in Peking in December last year
when the Prime Minister signed the Hong Kong Agreement. He called
on Chairman Deng Xiaoping again at that time.
