PROTOCOL ON THE EXCHANGE OF INSTRUMENTS OF RATIFICATION
Sir Richard Evans, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. and Northern Ireland to the People's Republic of China and Zhou Nan, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China have on this day exchanged the Instruments of Ratification of the Joint Declaration of the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Government of the People's Republic of China on the Question of Hong Kong signed at Beijing on 19 December 1984 and ratified by the two sides in accordance with their respective legal procedures.
The Instruments of Ratification mentioned above have been examined by both Parties and found to be in good and due form.
In witness whereof the undersigned have signed this Protocol in duplicate each in the English and Chinese languages.
