as if the reference to British Dependent Territories
citizens were a reference to British Nationals
(Overseas) and the references to British citizenship
and British Dependent Territories citizenship were
references to the status of a British National

(2) The provisions of section 12 of the said Act of 1981
(renunciation) shall apply in relation to British Nationals
(Overseas) and the status of a British National (Overseas) as
they apply in relation to British citizens and British citizenship.
(3) The provisions of section 40 of the said Act of 1981
(deprivation of British citizenship) shall apply in relation to
British Nationals (Overseas) and the status of a British National
(Overseas) as they apply in relation to British citizens and
