DRAFT LETTER FROM HM AMBASSADOR, PEKING

Mme WU Wen Ying,

Chinese Minister for the Textile Industry, Peking

I was very glad to learn that you have it in mind

to visit Hong Kong in the last week of May, following your visit to the United Kingdom. I write to confirm that you

will be most welcome in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Government will be delighted to arrange a programme which might include a call on the Governor, discussions with the Secretary for Trade & Industry, and other appropriate meetings and visits. They will be glad to learn of any particular wishes you may

have in this regard. I understand that detailed arrangements are already under discussion in Hong Kong with the Xinhua News

Agency.
