HMG have agreed allocation

allocation of £2 million for 1985/6 for

Hong Kong overseas student support scheme. Decision on 1986/87

to be made towards the end of the year.

No question of HMG reneging оп its original commitment.

However financial constraints have dictated cut in

student support across the board.
