Question : Can Government inform this Council whether there

are plans to establish a 24-hour accident and emergency department in the Prince of Wales Hospital?

Sir,

Yes, plans are in hand to extend the present operation hours

(from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.) of the accident and emergency department in the

Prince of Wales Hospital to a full 24-hour basis in September this year.
